The East Grand Rapids Public Schools
Board of Education voted unanimously on February 24, 2014, to hold an election
on May 6, 2014, for the purpose of requesting community support for a $30.9
million bond proposal. This bond proposal is the result of a thorough process
involving EGRPS staff members, the East Grand Rapids Department of Public
Safety, and community members who studied the safety, technology, and facility
needs of the district.
