East Grand Rapids Public Schools will participate in Schools of Choice in both the Kent Intermediate School District Collaborative Program and the State Schools of Choice Section 105c for the 2016-2017 academic year.

On March 14, 2016, the East Grand Rapids Board of Education voted to accept 23 students into the 2016-2017 Kent ISD Collaborative Schools of Choice Program, and one additional (1) opening in Section 105c - Contiguous Intermediate School District Schools of Choice Program. The 2016-2017 openings, per program, are:

EligibilityGo To Top of Page

All students who are residents of Kent Intermediate School Districts are eligible to apply for enrollment in any Kent ISD Public School that has an available opening at the grade level the student will be entering. Students who reside in a school district that is in a different ISD, but that borders Kent ISD, may apply under the Schools of Choice 105c plan, depending on available openings. Students who have been suspended or expelled may be excluded.

Students may apply for Schools of Choice through both the Kent County Schools of Choice Plan and the Section 105C Plan between April 11 – May 13, 2016 at 4:00 PM.
