We at East Grand Rapids High School Gay Straight Alliance strive to promote tolerance, understanding, and support to all people of all gender identities, races, and beliefs. We strive to raise awareness and to help create a safe and prejudice-free learning environment. As students and teachers, we will use all resources available to us for promoting a safe school environment at East today. This safe environment will be one in which to socialize and discuss what is happening in our community and how it affects us as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, questioning, and straight youths.
