  • The building principal will provide an overview and access to each week’s Continuity of Learning Plans by 5:00 p.m. each Sunday.
Parents/Caregivers are strongly encouraged to review each week’s learning plan and establish a daily learning schedule with their child.

Attendance

  • Attendance in the Plan will be measured by each student’s participation in the Plan’s activities and lessons.
  • Attendance will be recorded in Skyward Attendance by the classroom teacher.
  • Attendance will be updated in Skyward Attendance with the previous week’s participation in the plan by 3:00 pm Friday.
After this time, parents/caregivers can view the attendance component of Skyward Family Access System for an up-to-date attendance (participation) record.
  • To allow for flexibility, if a student goes back and completes activities and lessons from any week prior, positive attendance will be given for that week.

Feedback and Grading

  • EGRPS requires students to participate in the Continuity of Learning Plan. Students will not be penalized for failing to meet the district’s requirements due to COVID-19. Building administrators and teachers will work with families and students to ensure continued learning through an alternative method or at a later time.
  • At the elementary level teachers will focus on student participation and learning versus the assignment of grades. Teachers will provide qualitative feedback to students.

Sample Student Schedule

  • Students in grades K-2 should engage in school 30 to 90 minutes per school day.
  • Students in grades 3-5 should engage in school 60 to 120 minutes per school day.
  • Students should commit to a home learning schedule. Below is a sample home learning schedule.
  • Parents/Caregivers should collaborate with their child regarding their home learning schedule.
