East Grand Rapids Public Schools provides all nutritional services, which are handled by EGRPS employees.

The State of Michigan recently reauthorized legislation which continues to make school breakfast and lunch “free for all students.” While this program greatly benefits families, It remains critically important for families who believe they may qualify to continue to submit the federally required free and reduced lunch application. Michigan’s free breakfast and lunch program assumes federal funding will continue to support the majority of meal costs and the annual free and reduced lunch application is key to this federal funding being received.

Important state funding for educational programs is also directly connected to the number of students approved for free and reduced lunch through the application. The state funding we currently receive supports elementary reading interventions.

The online application is quick and confidential. Please consider filling out this application today.

If you have any questions about the process, or need assistance in applying, please contact your building administrative assistant for support.
