2023 November Bond Proposal

Our Vision

The front of East Grand Rapids High School. 

High school transformation

The bond proposal would fund additions and renovations to EGRHS, with an emphasis on academic spaces including:

  • Multi-story building addition & extensive renovations
  • Right-sized classrooms featuring natural light and flexible design elements
  • STEAM spaces designed to promote innovative and engaging educational experiences

Projects that were identified during an 18-month planning process alongside students, staff, and the community include:

  • Design changes that promote health, safety, and sustainability
  • Enhancements to the Performing Arts Center
  • Upgrades to athletic facilities
  • New co-curricular spaces for Robotics, Science Olympiad, and other academic clubs

Every building would receive improvements that support healthy learning and the well-being of students.

Early Childhood Center
The bond would fund a multi-classroom addition to Woodcliff Early Childhood Center to meet current and future needs.

HVAC & Plumbing
Upgrades to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems would improve student comfort and health, air quality, and operational efficiency in every building.

10-Year Technology
The bond would fund new instructional technology in every building over the next ten years.
