Non-Resident Enrollment Procedures
We are thrilled that you are considering East Grand Rapids Public Schools for your child! Enrollment options for non-residents depend on your child's grade.
The information below is intended to assist you in learning about the ways non-resident students may enroll into our school district. If you have additional questions regarding non-resident enrollment, please contact our district registrar at enrollment@egrps.org.
Schools of Choice (SOC)
The District participates in the Kent Intermediate School District (KISD) Schools of Choice (SOC) program.
This option is intended for families with students in grades K-5. Available slots are determined yearly.
Tuition Enrollment Program (TEP)
The District has a Tuition Enrollment Program (TEP) for eligible Kent County families.
This option is intended for families with students in grades 6-10*. *Unique circumstances apply for 11-12.
Employment at EGRPS
Children of East Grand Rapids Public School (EGRPS) employees may be eligible to attend school at EGRPS. Please visit our employment page or contact our registrar for more details.
East Grand Rapids Public Schools also supports Foreign Exchange programs at the high school level. If you are a resident family interested in hosting a foreign exchange student, please visit our Foreign Exchange page for more details.
