ELEMENTARY TEACHER
LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE (1)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 60 semester hours from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Eligibility to obtain a Daily Substitute Permit from the Michigan Department of Education (required)
  • State of Michigan Teaching Certificate (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a team planning structure
  • Ability to be enthusiastic, flexible, work cooperatively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Willingness and commitment to include equity, social justice, and inclusion in all practices
  • Ability to transform instruction through the creative use of technology
  • Knowledge in instructional practices for varied learning styles and individual student needs
  • Excellent organization and communication skills (written, verbal, and listening skills)
  • Experience teaching elementary school students
  • Successful classroom management strategies and skills
  • Ability to abide by all district policies and procedures
  • Experience in utilizing a variety of assessments to inform teaching
  • Ability to develop and implement positive behavior support plans
  • Strong background in using assessment and data to inform instruction and document student progress

Rate: EGRPS Long-Term Substitute Teacher Rate per Edustaff
