Congratulations! The 2026 Hearts of Gold partner is Ronald McDonald House West Michigan!
The Ronald McDonald House West Michigan believes that when a child is sick, the entire family needs comfort, stability, and support to remain strong. Through its House and Family Room programs, it provides families with essential amenities like a place to stay, warm meals, and a supportive community, all just steps away from care so they can focus on their child’s healing.
Families traveling to West Michigan for their child’s medical care find more than just a place to sleep at the Ronald McDonald House. They find a home during some of life’s most challenging moments. As one parent shared, “Being close meant I could be with my child more and stay connected with his care team… the Ronald McDonald House made sure families like mine have a home away from home when we need it most.”
The Family Room, located inside the Pine Rest Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health, is an extension of the House program, offering hospitality and support right inside the hospital. It is a place for families to land during their day — to rest, work, eat, or simply take a breath — while staying close to their child.
When families turn to Ronald McDonald House West Michigan, the realities of home do not disappear, but the weight of them can. The organization eases everyday burdens so families can stay close, stay together, and focus on what matters most: their child’s healing.
