The mission of the Academic Boosters is to encourage and recognize the academic achievement of all East Grand Rapids High School students. Your 2023-2024 membership helps us continue this valuable work. Click here to become a member today!

 

ACADEMIC BOOSTERS CONTRIBUTIONS:

  • Organize and fund TEACHER-LED EXAM PREP sessions
  • Provide financial support to numerous EGRHS ACADEMIC CLUBS and STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
  • Fund scholarships for TOP 5 MOST IMPROVED SENIORS, the students that demonstrate the most academic improvement during their four years at EGRHS
  • Fund scholarships for TOP 15 SENIORS based on their cumulative GPAs
  • Recognize academic improvement and excellence
  • Organize and fund the WINTER WHIRL and PROGRESSIVE DINNER events, with all proceeds going to the support of East Grand Rapids students
  • CONNECT PARENTS like you and cultivate a community that values academic achievement for all students

ACADEMIC DISTINCTION CRITERIA
Awards are based on a cumulative weighted grade point average:
  • Cum Laude: 3.250 to 3.599
  • Magna Cum Laude: 3.600 to 3.999
  • Summa Cum Laude: 4.000 and above

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
Scholarships are given to the 5 most improved seniors, the students that demonstrate the most academic improvement during their four years at EGRHS and the top 15 seniors based on their cumulative weighted GPA through 7 semesters.
  • Application for the scholarships is not required
  • The amount of the scholarships will be determined each year based on the money available
  • The 5 most improved seniors will be announced at the Senior Honors Assembly. The top 15 seniors will be announced at graduation.
